love this song so much, it’s sooo beautiful <3
it perfectly works with the scene in scrubs <3
great song
Where did you find/download this song? there is only one version of it on iTunes (the one from scrubs), but it’s a little longer and it sounds slightly different and i have fallen in love with the version from your video. please let me know!
in the bible, king david was in his house and he saw Bathsheba outside bathing and then they do it (even tho she’s married to a guy who is off at war) and she gets pregnant… there’s more to that story. anyway, elsewhere in the bible there is a guy named samson and he’s invincible or something i think and he falls in love with a lady who tries to make him normal so that he can be killed and she cuts his hair off and it turns out that was his source of power. i’m not sure how the 2 r related
I rlly like this songs. And it´s used for Scrubs S01E04. It´s a very sad scene…but amazing song
i dont get the second verse…
So my religious issues or whatever faith i lack leads to me watching a chick bathe on a roof (whys she bathing on a roof?). and she ties me to a kitchen chair (wtf), breaks my throne (i was on a throne?), cuts my hair (wtf?), and then KISSES me..??? i dont get it!! Do I need an adult in this scenario..?

Oh young one, this song is sun shining through broken cathedral windows and wildflowers growing from ashes. There is no “god” in this song other than the god that is in us. If you waste your life looking for death or wait for life after death for happiness you have missed the point.
beautiful. i love this song. im singing it for my final song in voice class for college. This is definately my favorite version.
Thanks for posting it!!!!!!!!!
When i found this song on a ‘most depressing songs” list, i didnt like it, it wasn’t depressing enough. i wanted death and emoness…but now that i’ve had time to think on it, that i can look back, it is depressing. It’s about broken souls. and what’s sadder than that?
And now, i can actually see it IS about a broken heart. and it’s actually just what i needed at the moment. i just didn’t see it. and it’s helping me now. now that i’ve lost a friend.
I never though much about the lyrics, what you said makes sense though.
Thankyou for taking the time to write out such a well thoughtout comment.
These lyrics remind me of a quote I read a long time ago (I can’t remember the source, so enlighten me if you know): “Sometimes the only way God can enter is through a broken heart.” This song alludes to temptation and sin and rebellion against God and broken fellowship with God. Our brokenness humbles us and proves how much we need his redemption. No, indeed, this kind of love is not a victory march, but a cold and broken hallelujah. It is a modern psalm David himself would approve of.
Yes, and the part before that is about David and Bathsheba. Brush up on your Bible stories!
